Audec releases Drive free waveshaping plugin for Mac (VST3/AU)

Audec has announced availability of its new Drive waveshaper audio effect plugin.

Drive is a flexible waveshaping effect that makes a variety of sounds from soft saturation to aggressive distortion.

It’s shaping curve can be adjusted continuously. It allows you to make the shaping curve you like, such as soft clip, hard clip, tube-like asymmetric curve, and so on.

System Requirements:

- VST3 or AU host DAW

- Mac OS 10.11 or newer (64-bit)

Truality Audio has released RealSpread, an audio plugin VST which “Stereoizes” a mono audio signal or widens a stereo one, without practically compromising mono compatibility.

RealSpread is an Audio Plugin (VST Windows) which “Stereoizes” a mono audio signal or widens a stereo one, without practically compromising mono compatibility. The spartan GUI conforms to my philosophy of simplicity in plugin design. RealSpread is more effective on single sources, for example a single (mono) Drums Overhead or Room microphone. Of course, you can experiment with stereo sources as well although I wouldn’t recommend using it on Groups/ Stems or Masters…except if you are aiming for that something else!You can insert a Goniometer / Lissajous pattern plugin on the Master bus if you want to observe the effect…

A dedicated stereo/parallel compressor for those who know its work!

1. jParaComp supports Windows/64bit/VST2/VST3 ***VST3 will be uploaded later*** Mac/64bit/AU 32bit will not be supported unless enough requests.
2. Have a stereo track that has too many peaks on one side? Compress Left and right sides independently.
3. If used right, it can be used as a nice stereo effect for any instrument.
4. Built in clipping can stop the signal from going past 0 dB.
5. FREE. Who does not like free?
6. Preset loader/save. I will be making presets at some point to add to the plugin.
7. Change background color. Currently there is only red and blue.

Westwood Upright Felt Piano, free Kontakt instrument with warm and intimate piano sound 16th August 2019

Westwood has recently released the Upright Felt Piano, a free Kontakt instrument library that brings the sounds of a well loved piano.

The instrument comes with multiple mic positions (close, room and soundboard) and an easy to use, intuitive interface.

Our Upright Felt Piano is born from a mission to find and sample a piano filled with interesting and natural character. Using some classic vintage microphones through the highest quality signal path, we created a Kontakt instrument that is perfect for intimate, alternative film scores.



We custom felted the strings to take out the top end but not any of its unique character. What we were left with is a beautiful, warm and intimate sound.
