Variety of Sound has announced the release of new effect plugin for Windows. Based on audio transient processing, FeenstaubTX enhances and refines signals in a mid/side configuration with saturation and expansion effects, allowing for unique signal coloration, transient management and glue effects, as well as sublime control over the stereo image.
It’s designed to work on complex full program stereo material for very gentle balancing audio in three dimensions: Timbre, dynamic structure, and stereo field.
While all areas are touched only slightly, it creates a musical consistency that brings some analog feel back into the digital realm, and the signal appears subtly colored and sprinkled with a little magic.
FeenstaubTX features:
Saturation processing based on audio transient information.
Cross-channel compression and expansion effects.
Selectable color options: Tube, Solid-State, Transformer.
Mid/side processing.
Resizable UI.
Internal preset management.
Mousewheel support.
The plugin is free to download in VST/VST3 formats for Windows.
Rigid Audio has announced that its Kontakt instrument designed to help you create all sorts of inspirational backing grooves, cinematic underscores and creative electronic musical phrases is now free.
The Interference drum- and loop sequencer is based on 4 timestretching loop-engines and 4 drum and percussion parts, which can be programmed, played and mixed all individually.
It comes with two times 400 categorized loops and 1130 drum, percussion and noise sounds. Each engine has a comprehensive set of editing tools, including control over basic things like pitch, pan and volume as well as more creative elements like filters, delay-based effects and three send-effects including a unique so-called “disturb”-effect.
Each engine in Interference can be altered and modulated via separate modulation tables with to access to 43 modulation targets useable at the same time. Also, an Arpeggiator with four different harmonizing modes and free step lenghts for each note can be used to vary loops in interesting ways. It is also possible to modulate nearly every parameter externally using the modulation wheel – a dedicated mapping sub page allows for detailed finetuning of the start and end ranges for each modulation assignment separately.
Furthermore, Interference features three dedicated pages for editing: A main page where the user has a quick overview of what is going on, a more detailed edit page for access to all parameters and an options page for per-preset preferences.
Interference comes with NKS integration for users of Native Instruments Komplete Kontrol and/or Maschine. It requires the full (retail) version of Kontakt 7.2.0 or higher.
Epic Grand is an octave-sampled Steinway Model D, creating grandiose, cinematic sound, recorded with an array of mic positions in a large concert hall.

Your ultimate pitch shifter plugin, Pitchmunk changes your sound's pitch and formant without altering its tempo and playback speed. It's so easy to get "that" vocal chop sound you hear on Spotify!
Featuring 2 main large knobs "Pitch" and "Formant", Pitchmunk allows you to shift the pitch of any sound up 2 octaves or down 2 octaves. That's 48 semitones altogether! What's even more amazing is that the pitch shifts aren't stepped, you can dial in any number you want or gradually change the pitch smoothly.
The "Follow" option will link the formant to the pitch, so you get a more "crisp" sounding pitch shift. However, Pitchmunk allows you to be more creative by turning off the "Follow" option in order to adjust the Pitch and Formant separately.
Pitchmunk also includes a Filter, a Drive and a Mix knob for achieving great sounding effects, quickly and easily.
