Voxengo updates Boogex free guitar amplifier & cabinet simulation plugin




Voxengo has released version 2.4 of their free Boogex plugin - a free guitar amplifier and cabinet simulation plugin for professional music production applications.

This version features the following changes:

- Added Retina support on macOS, and automatic high-resolution UI size adjustment on Windows.
- Added AIFF impulse file support.
- Implemented disk file scrolling controls.
- Up to 24% lower CPU usage on AVX2-capable processors.



Boogex is a guitar amplifier plug-in with a variety of sound shaping features for professional music production applications. With Boogex it is possible to get a heavy distorted sound as well as slight "jazzy" saturation sound. Boogex is also able to apply any speaker cabinet impulse response (selection of built-in impulses is available). The processing latency is close to zero making it possible to use Boogex for real-time guitar processing. Boogex also includes reverberation module derived from Voxengo OldSkoolVerb reverb.

Devil Soundz updates free Devil Drummr to v1.4 and free Devil Reverb to v2.0 for Windows







Devil Soundz has updated the free VST plugins for Windows Devil Drummr and Devil Reverb. These updates are major updates that fix some bugs and add enhancements.

Soda Devices releases Lith free virtual analog wavetable synth plugin







Soda Devices has launched the free Lith virtual analog wavetable synthesizer instrument for Windows and Mac.

The 2-oscillator synth includes sine, triangle, square and sawtooth waveforms, sampled from a real analog oscillator. It also has a sub oscillator.

Lith also comes with ADSR envelopes with curves, multi-mode LFOs for volume and panning and multi-mode filters with lowpass, highpass, bandpass, notch, lowshelf, highshelf, and peaking.

The synth features 60 presets including bass, drum, fx, key, pad, string, synth and wind.

Planned development includes improvements to the user interface and MIDI support.

Lith is currently available as a free download in 64-bit VST3 and AU formats. A 64-bit VST2 version is available, but not supported. AAX support is coming soon.
