Build-Your-Own-Distortion (BYOD) is an audio plugin that allows the user to create custom guitar effects, with a focus on guitar distortion. The plugin contains emulations of guitar distortion and tone-shaping circuits from various, along with a handful of other useful effects.
LibreArp free pattern-based arpeggio generator plugin updated to v2.3
Oto Šťáva has released an update to the LibreArp free-form pattern arpeggiator plugin. Version 2.3 includes various new features.
LibreArp is a MIDI effect plugin that takes chords in the form of MIDI input and outputs so-called arpeggios based on the input chords. Arpeggios are generated using a user-created pattern. Each input note is given a number, based on its pitch (lowest to highest). The pattern then determines which note number should play when.
If a pattern contains an event for a note number higher than there is input notes, it wraps around and (by default) transposes the note by an octave. (e.g. the plugin gets a 3-note chord in its input but the pattern is set to play note no. 4 – it actually plays note no. 1 transposed one octave higher than the input note). The pattern has its loop length, i.e. its time loops around indefinitely in a song. The user can also set a loop-reset length, which resets the loop when a set amount of beats elapses.
Changes in LibreArp v2.3
Smart octaves: When the input chord spans multiple octaves, transposition is done by that number of octaves
Guarantees that a higher LibreArp note will always be higher in the output MIDI.
On by default in New: instances; off by default in existing ones.
The loop can now be resized and moved from the beat bar above the note grid.
Added a Swing parameter that staggers the pattern in real time.
Added a Chord size parameter that makes the plugin use a fixed number of input notes
If the actual number of input notes is greater than the chord size, they are selected according to the New: Note selection mode parameter.
Added a Bypass parameter for DAWs that do not have a built-in bypass function.
The plugin no longer crashes when the user clicks Cancel in the preset chooser dialog.
LibreArp is free software licensed under the GNU General Public License v3. VST3 and LV2 binaries are available to download for Windows, Mac and Linux.
Panipulator is an indispensable, CPU-friendly tool that lets you achieve accurate mix translation across various less-than-ideal playback systems. With simple streamlined controls, you can you check mono compatibility, speaker polarity, identify phase issues in multi-miked instruments, isolate speakers in mono, and more—and it’s absolutely FREE.
The Light Theme is gone -it was too much work to maintain 2 themes.
Auto-update of the playing backing track
No more need to stop and restart the playback in order to take into account changes made while the song is playing.
New Drums Transform rhythm parameter
For example make the hi-hat louder in the intro song part, or add a tambourine phrase in 1-click.
New Custom Phrase rhythm parameter
For example use your own bass line for the chorus song part.
Notes viewer
See notes of the selected chord symbol on a piano keyboard or using guitar diagrams. See real-time notes from the backing track.
User tracks
For example add a melody to your song.
(Pseudo) Arranger keyboard mode
Select a song part, press the Arranger Play button and JJazzLab will recognize the chords received on Midi input and update the backing track accordingly.
Improvisation help
JJazzLab generates guidelines in your chord leadsheet for selected improvisation exercises.
Midi input and remote Midi commands
You can trigger music control actions (play, stop, …) from any Midi input sequence via Midi Learn.
New languages Spanish and Brazilian/Portugese
plus the usual English, French, Chinese, German
And many more…
Adjust audio latency, new keyboard shortcuts, Midi file drag & drop support, jump playback to next/previous song part, etc.
See the RELEASE NOTES for more details and screenshots about the new features.

Giglad does not require administrator privileges or root access and as such, it can cause no harm to your system. For Windows, the installer which does require administrator privileges in order to put files in the C:\Program Files directory, has been created with NSIS. For MAC we are using Packages. Please rest assured that there is no virus in the giglad files and if any reported by your antivirus, you can safely ignore it and we would be grateful if you could inform us regarding that. The annoying Windows protected your PC message and giglad is from an unidentified developerwill go away once we get rich and famous and we can have the luxury to give Microsoft and Apple their share.
OB-Xd is based on the Oberheim OB-X. It attempts to recreate its sound and behavior, but as the original was very limited in some important ways a number of things were added or altered to the original design. OB-Xd was designed to sound as good and as rich as the original. It implements micro random detuning which is a big part of that sound.
What's new:
• 7x faster GUI controls.
• Linux build.
• Standalone app.
• Signed and notarized installers.
• Updated JUCE framework to 5.4.7 for better stability and compatibility.
• Updated Banks with 2.0 compatibility.
• Ilkka Rosma Dark Theme.
• macOS Catalina support.
• MIDI CC Learn.
• MIDI CC support.
• Parameter refactor.
• XML based skinning.
• HiDPI (Retina) ready GUI themes.
Overview:
While not copying originals, some of the features were taken to a better point. Continuous blendable multimode filter (HP-Notch(BP)-HP in 12 dB mode and 4-1 pole in 24 dB mode). Also, like many synths of the OB-X's generation, the OB-Xd has no internal effects so its sounds and textures can be greatly enhanced by the use of additional processing like chorus, reverb, delay, etc.
Thanks to 2Dat for the original OB-Xd and Soshi Studio for giving the rights to continue this wonderful product. Also thanks to all KVR artists for making the amazing skins!. OB-Xd Desktop has no restrictions and is free to use. Buy to support further development, thank you! Source code is available under GPL license at GitHub.

• Implemented basic MTS-ESP support by Natalia Escalera.
VK-1 Viking Synthesizer is an authentic emulation of a classic monophonic analog synthesizer. It has three continuously variable wave oscillators, two ladder filters with a Dual Lowpass or Highpass/Lowpass configuration, a multi-wave LFO, and two modulation busses. VK-1 uses state of the art DSP technology to accurately reproduce the sound of the hardware.
Presets
VK-1 comes with 228 presets in the categories Bass, Bright Lead, Electro Bass, FX, Percussive Lead, Soft Lead, and Synthwave. The 50 Electro Bass and 50 Synthwave presets were created by experienced sound designer eXode. The synth excels at thick bass and rich lead sounds.
Oscillators
At the heart of VK-1 are three adjustable wave oscillators. The continuously variable waveform knob gives the oscillators a unique sound that can’t be achieved with the fixed waveforms found in most synths. A noise oscillator provides three types of noise.
Modulation
Two modulation busses and an LFO provide flexible modulation capabilities.
Filter
The filter is a classic transistor ladder filter modeled meticulously. Different drive modes are available for adding grit. The number of poles is adjustable for a wider range of filter sounds.
VK-1 has cutting edge DSP technology:
– VK-1’s oscillators have been measured from hardware
– VK-1’s oscillators have drift and jitter
– VK-1’s oscillators use advanced techniques to avoid aliasing
– VK-1’s filters are nonlinear ZDF with carefully tuned self-oscillation
– VK-1’s envelopes have been matched to hardware
New for VST
The graphics of VK-1 have been completely redone with Retina support. Using experience gained over the past several years, the sound quality has been updated to sound more rich, smooth, and creamy.
Requirements
VK-1 VST is a 64 bit VST2 plug-in compatible with macOS and Windows.
