MinimogueVA updated to version 3.0 with 64 bit vst2 and vst3. New high quality oscillator that sounds much brighter. New updated zero delay filters. New envelope curves modelled after the mini. 12db (SEM) filter has crossfade slider between LP and HP filter like the SEM. Moogfilter has overdrive slider. New filter cutoff slider for delay to emulate bucked brigade delay.
In VST3 you have to install the presets manually by copying the sounds in this zip to: Documents/VST3 Presets/gunnar ekornaas/MinimogueVA . Here is the zipped sound library: sound-library
DReverb 2.0 — is a free plugin for creating high quality algorithmic reverbs, the basis of which is modified Dattorro's algorithm. A feature of this plugin, like other reverbs from Stone Voices, is a wide range of reverb times (up to 100 seconds), as well as low CPU consumption. The design of the plug-in is made using vector graphics, which allows you to get high quality images on monitors with different resolutions. There are additional options for "freezing" sound, as well as for working with presets.
Features:
High quality reverb algorithm.
Low CPU usage.
64 bit sound processing (double precision).
Wide range of decay time 0.1..100 s.
Sound "freeze" function with the ability to control the pedal of the midi controller.
Red Rock Sound EQ302 is a 32 band equaliser offering 12 dB of cut or boost in 1/3 octave steps between the frequencies of 16 Hz and 20 kHz.
The graphic equaliser is a vital component in any audio system. The entire signal passes through it and so any limitations imposed by the equaliser will compromise the performance of the whole system. For example, an indifferently designed equaliser may introduce severe phase distortion, noise and other anomalies related to centre frequency accuracy, filter shape and attenuation accuracy which may manifest themselves as an overall deterioration in the perceived sound quality of the system. Clearly, this is an unacceptable state of affairs, but fortunately your choice to utilise a Red Rock Sound EQ302 Graphic Equaliser will eliminate these problems, offering you unprecedented product performance coupled with the highest filter calibration and reliability standards in the industry.
It should be noted that graphic equalisation cannot always overcome all frequency response related problems. There are applications where the ability to cut and boost the response at a particular frequency, or over a certain bandwidth other than the equaliser specified one, is required to overcome exceptionally difficult response anomalies or narrow band feedback problems.
Cab-Lab 4 with DynaCab™ makes it quicker, easier, more intuitive, and more fun to achieve great tone, allowing you to customize and mix cabs, mics, and more. An Impulse Response, or “IR” can be thought of as a sonic “capture” — essentially the “fingerprint” of a tone over time. Fractal Audio is known for industry-leading amp modeling, but was also the first to allow installable Impulse Responses in a guitar product. This set a new industry standard. Suddenly, guitarists could to recreate the sound of their favorite mic’d speaker cabs in a portable format, for both studio recording and live performance.
Standalone and Plugin Versions
Cab-Lab 4 comes with both Standalone and Plugin Versions. The Standalone uses your Axe-Fx III, FM9, FM3, or another audio interface so you can select, position, and mix mics while listening in real-time. The plugin version processes audio in your compatible DAW or host and can be used both to “re-cab” raw amp recordings. Features include a 4-channel IR mixer, plus tools to EQ, align, and more. Cab-Lab can export IRs for your Fractal Audio hardware product, save files to your computer.
DynaCab™ Technology
For decades, artists, producers, and engineers have carefully positioned and mixed mics on guitar speaker cabs in the pursuit of great tone. DynaCab™ replicates this process in a revolutionary way, allowing you to hear results in real-time while moving a virtual mic on a virtual speaker. Compared to previous techniques, DynaCab™ makes it faster, easier, and more intuitive to find the tone you’re looking for without sifting through so many individual IRs. In fact, the DynaCab system in Cab-Lab 4 offers even more resolution and flexibility than our hardware products, with 360° of placement at variable distances, the possibility of additional microphone choices, and more.
DynaCab Packs
DynaCab Packs are like plugins for Cab-Lab. Each pack contains a “3D” set of speaker IR captures made with multiple microphones. For example, packs might be based on a vintage 4×12, modern 2×12 or boutique 1×12. With a DynaCab Pack installed, you have complete access to the vast array of tones that the captured speaker and available microphones are able to produce.
Frequently Asked Question
Q: What about previously released Fractal Audio cab packs or third party IRs?
Cab-Lab 4 is fully compatible with every Cab-Pack ever sold in our store, and any 3rd party IRs in Fractal Audio or .wav formats. These “legacy” cab packs do NOT appear in Cab Pack Manager, however. To load an IR from one of these packs, simply set the Cab-Lab 4 channel to “Single IR Mode” and then drag your file into the “IR” field or click the Browse button to locate it manually.
Q: Can Cab-Lab 4 load “Factory” Cab IRs directly from a connected Fractal Audio device?
No, factory IRs cannot be loaded into Cab-Lab. However, many of the factory cabs are available for sale in the Legacy Cab Packs section of our store.
Q: Are there more DynaCab packs coming?
YES! We will be releasing many DynaCab packs over time and have also begun to work with 3rd party producers.
