Full Bucket Music has released an update to its recent virtual instrument that is designed to emulate the Kawai K3/K3m synthesizer from 1986.
Version 1.1.0 of FB3 comes with new presets and various improvements and fixes.
The K3 was Kawai’s first “hybrid” synthesizer: A digital sound generation module combined with analog filters and amplifiers. Korg had released similar machines, the DW-6000 and the DW-8000. PPG pursued the same approach with their famous Wave series, while featuring a much more sophisticated (and expensive) way of sound generation, the groundbreaking Wave-Table Synthesis. And there are many, many more to follow (Ensoniq ESQ-1, Sequential Prophet VS, to name a few…)

- New Voice Allocation Mode parameter.
- Factory patches now have names.
- Fixed SysEx import.
- Fixed SysEx parameter changes.
- Minor fixes and improvements.
The synth is free to download for Windows and macOS in VST/VST3, AU, AAX and CLAP plugin formats.
