Sonic Skunk has announced an update to its an open-source reverb plugin with sidechaining built in. Version 1.1 of DuckingSpace brings support for Mac, a redesigned interface, and more.
DuckingSpace pulls its own reverb down while your sound plays and lets it bloom in the gaps. Big space, clear mix, no sidechain routing.
Changes in DuckingSpace v1.1
Now on Mac: VST3 and AU, Apple Silicon and Intel (macOS 11 or newer).
Completely redesigned interface, with zoom (100/125/150%).
13 factory presets, and save your own with the new preset bar.
New HALL engine next to the original sound (now called CLASSIC).
Modulation now adds a lush stereo chorus to the reverb.
Diffusion works across the whole knob, from separate echoes to a smooth wash.
Sensitivity control, so the ducking also reacts to quieter sounds.
Input/Output knobs, and a Dry/Wet that keeps the volume steady.
Available in VST3 and AU formats for Windows and macOS, DuckingSpace is free to download.
