FREE: DuckingSpace reverb effect plugin updated to v1.1

Sonic Skunk has announced an update to its an open-source reverb plugin with sidechaining built in. Version 1.1 of DuckingSpace brings support for Mac, a redesigned interface, and more.

DuckingSpace pulls its own reverb down while your sound plays and lets it bloom in the gaps. Big space, clear mix, no sidechain routing.

Changes in DuckingSpace v1.1

Now on Mac: VST3 and AU, Apple Silicon and Intel (macOS 11 or newer).
Completely redesigned interface, with zoom (100/125/150%).
13 factory presets, and save your own with the new preset bar.
New HALL engine next to the original sound (now called CLASSIC).
Modulation now adds a lush stereo chorus to the reverb.
Diffusion works across the whole knob, from separate echoes to a smooth wash.
Sensitivity control, so the ducking also reacts to quieter sounds.
Input/Output knobs, and a Dry/Wet that keeps the volume steady.

Available in VST3 and AU formats for Windows and macOS, DuckingSpace is free to download.

A2D Sound releases Squeeze multi-effect plugin + FREE Micro Squeeze

A2D Sound has released an all-in-one processor that aims to replace a chain of saturation, compression, EQ, clipping, and limiting with a single phase-coherent engine.

Squeeze lets you pick a source type and character, play a few seconds of audio, and hit Learn. The plugin measures peak, RMS, mid and side energy, and high-frequency content, and builds its configuration from what it finds.

Saturation, dynamics, tone, transients and ceiling control, all configured from a single measurement of your source. No AI, no fancy tricks; it runs on an algorithm we wrote to work out what your sound needs.

Squeeze features

27 source types that set the starting point, moving crossover points and deciding where warmth sits, how fast the compressor moves, and whether stereo width is allowed to open.
3 calibrated characters: Subtle stays close to the source, Warm adds weight and color, and Aggressive pushes further.
Gain Match, bringing the output peak back to the input peak so Squeeze can’t win an A/B just by coming out louder (matching on a LUFS meter is recommended for a strict comparison).
Max Loudness, driving the signal harder underneath without moving any panel controls.
Correlation-safe width processing that holds together when folded to mono.
Individual module bypass, by double-clicking any knob, for hearing what Saturation, Density, Warmth, Air, Transients, and Width each contribute.

Squeeze for Windows and macOS (VST3/AU) is on sale for the launch price of $49 USD for a limited time (regular $99 USD). A 7-day free trial unlocks the full plugin with every feature.

Also available is Micro Squeeze, a free version of the plugin which comes with a limited set of features.

The knob drives a detail-preserving clipper into a brickwall limiter. Play the loudest part of your track and hit Learn: it listens for up to ten seconds, measures peak, RMS and loudness, and sets a starting point for your track. A live spectrogram shows, in red, where loudness was added, and Gain Match holds the output peak where the input peak was.
