Audiority releases L12X free analog simulation inspired by the Marshall Lead 12

Audiority has released L12X, free analog simulation inspired by the Marshall® Lead 12™ solid state amplifier of the late ‘80s (VST, VST3, AU and AAX).

Analog Modeled Solid State Amplifier Plugin. VST, VST3, AU and AAX.

L12X is an analog simulation inspired by the Marshall® Lead 12™ solid state amplifier of the late ‘80s.

The original head was an op-amp based amplifier: instead of using tubes or transistors, the op-amp is able to provide a huge amount of gain with very little or no distortion. However, when the amplified signal reaches the voltage applied to power the op-amp, it gets clipped. Marshall engineers exploited that to provide a great sounding amplifier with very few components.

This little solid state head is able to push cabinets up to 4×12 and can easily sound like a JCM™. We modified the original circuit by adding a Contour knob (to get a more scooped tone) and an additional Boost overdrive stage. We also included an integrated Cab Simulator, loaded with a Marshall cabinet IR featuring Celestion V30 cones.

Dead Duck Software releases Dead Duck Deducktion v1.2.0 free plugin synth

Dead Duck Software has released Dead Duck Deducktion v1.2.0, free plugin subtractive synthesizer in VST 2.4 format for Windows 32-bit and 64-bit hosts.

The latest release is now available and includes the following enhancements:

- A new 'Single-Page' view allowing the Main and LFO/Env pages to be combined into a single view for easier patch creation. Use the 'Use Single-Page View' option in the main settings menu to enable this.

- Oscillator detune spread and mix controls (see the Osc sub tab).

Breaking changes: the encoding of the oscillator random-phase and Sub Alt-mode parameters has changed so any patches that make use of these will probably have to be revisited.

Oscillator random phase is now selected by setting the phase parameter to it's maximum value. Sub Alt-mode is activated by setting the menu option to a waveform combination, set to 'Off' to restore default sub behaviour.

AudioNerdz Delay Lama VSTi-Freeware

Delay Lama is the first VST-instrument to offer both vocal synthesis and a real-time animated 3D interface. Its advanced monophonic vocal synthesis engine enables your computer to sound just like an Eastern monk, with real-time, high resolution control over the vowel sound. What's more, the plug-in window displays a 3D animation of a singing monk, that reacts directly to your input!

In addition, Delay Lama offers a simple but effective built-in stereo delay (you've guessed it), to give it just that extra bit of impressiveness.

The instrument can be controlled either with a MIDI keyboard, in which case the pitchbender acts as a vowel manipulator, or with the built-in XY-controller, which allows simultaneous control over both the pitch and the vowel sound. Other controls include the portamento speed and the level of the delayed signal. All parameters are controllable via MIDI, and all incoming events are handled with sample-accuracy.

Although Delay Lama is freeware and can be distributed freely, AudioNerdz would like to encourage satisfied users to make a donation to the International Campaigne for Tibet. To find out more about the situation in Tibet, please visit www.savetibet.org, where you can also easily make a donation by on-line credit card payment. It's really great for your karma!
