Xenakios releases PaulXStretch v1.0.2 free plugin for extreme time stretching

Xenakios has released PaulXStretch v1.0.2, free plugin VST2/AU for extreme time stretching and other spectral processing of audio.

There may be problems when doing offline rendering/export in Cubase. A workaround to get the plugin output into a final mix is to record the output of the plugin in real time by some means into an audio track and bypassing/removing the plugin before doing offline exports.

- Show approximate stretched output duration in info label (only valid if the stretch amount is not automated in the host)

- Waveform selection can be moved by dragging the selection top area

- Smoothed playback with fades when changing waveform selection (doesn’t work ideally, fixing later…)

- Fixes for the waveform graphics disappearing unexpectedly (this probably still isn’t entirely fixed, though)

Kilohearts has released 3-Band EQ, a free Snapin plugin for Windows and Mac.

Kilohearts 3-Band EQ

The simple but effective EQ has low, mid and high bands, and spectrum split lines to set thresholds for low and high frequency ranges. If you need a more advanced equalizer, make sure to check out Kilohearts Carve EQ and Slice EQ as well.

This instrument puts a complete orchestra on a single track of your DAW (so you don't need to create additional tracks). You can add strings, brass, woodwinds and even percussion at the same time, using only one MIDI channel.

The sounds of the different instruments are mapped on different sections of the keyboard, and they are velocity dependent. The only controls on the GUI are the reverb and volume faders.

This is a free sketching tool, created for songwriting/demo recording, and oriented towards beginners and songwriters who need a simple and fast tool, so it does not include multiple articulations or round robin samples.
